Love Your Legs with Ginger Orange Leggings

Everyone knows I love a bold pair of leggings – from my crazy brights at the Reading Half Marathon, to making my own running tights – I’m all about making fitness fashionable and standing out in a workout… and perhaps I might just be able to distract the competition with my colourful legs!

So when Ginger Orange got in touch with me to try a pair of their leggings and I saw their designs I was super excited to say yes!

About Ginger Orange

Made with quality fabrics from Italy and Portugal, Ginger Orange aim to encourage their wearers to achieve their goals and believe in themselves. I love this quote from their “Our Story” page:

WE BELIEVE IN BEING ADVENTUROUS,
BRAVE AND CURIOUS.
WE LIVE BY THE RULE OF NOT GIVING
UP ON OUR AMBITIONS, AIMS
AND DEEPEST DREAMS.

They currently have six styles of leggings; three prints and three classic colours, but I am head over heels for the prints. I struggled to choose which ones to go for – so much so that I’ve decided to eventually buy all three – but I initially settled on the Sakura No Hana leggings, with their geisha-like print.

I like to think that each design has its own personality; the free-spirited La Reina Mora, the classy and poised Sakura No Hana, and the cheeky and sexy Dreamboat Duchess… buy all three for a different style whatever your mood!

Ginger Orange Leggings In Action

As the Ginger Orange leggings range is primarily designed for yoga I thought a morning Ashtanga yoga sequence would be the perfect test for them. I do struggle with leggings for yoga sometimes, as they quite often roll down at the waist in any kind of forward fold pose, but these happily stayed firmly in place throughout my entire sequence – something which I think deserves a pretty big round of applause!

They were stretchy and comfortable, despite me being a little concerned that I was probably between sizes – I went for the Medium, which is for a UK 10-12 and felt perhaps a little on the tight side for my size 12 frame but were more than comfortable enough to move around in.

The second time I wore these was to a local yoga class where I instantly got comments of “I LOVE your leggings” as I walked in the room! I was impressed again by them being pretty grippy, meaning I could hold tree pose with my foot above my knee for the first time in a long time! A lot of leggings are quite slick and I find my foot sliding down, but not these.

Yoga leggings that don't roll down AND they keep your foot in place in tree pose? Yes, really! Click To Tweet
