Shhhh, don’t tell anyone but… I’m a bit of a superhero geek. I love the Marvel and DC comic films (helped by my fiancé who is a big comic fan) and I think part of their hook is that they usually feature either strong, powerful men and women who are the perfect picture of fitness (think Wonder Woman or Superman), or an average person who through some external force is now capable of so much more (Spiderman, Captain America). Cor, talk about inspiring!
And that’s why I love the infographic put together by Body Aid Solutions (providers of health and fitness courses such as sports massage certificates, personal trainer, kettlebell instructor, and more), which shows the types of exercises some of our favourite superheroes would be likely to be doing to achieve their impressive fitness levels.
Clearly I’ve chosen my fitness loves well, with CrossFit and yoga being akin to Catwoman’s likely workouts. CrossFit is great for general strength, agility, and all round cardio efforts, and the flexibility and balance gains can be made through yoga.
