Us fitness fanatics do love a good pop-up, new event or freebie class and this post aims to bring the best of all of these straight to your fingertips. Choose from blogger-created fitness programs, lengthening and strengthening barrecore special class, or a comforting bowl full of porridge… and more!

Sweaty Betty barreASANA

Well known for their Get Fit 4 Free campaigns and Guest Instructor Events, Sweaty Betty have a new class launched in May and June with barrecore instructors Emily, Chiara and Maria.


The barreASANA class is a fast-paced yoga-inspired sequence that promises to tone your limbs and tighten your core. In case you didn’t already know, fitness fusion workouts are a big thing right now, picking the best bits from each workout style and combining them in what I am going to call the superheroes of fitness classes.

The classes running from the Ultralounge, Selfridges, throughout May and into the start of June sold out like hot cakes, but you can also get a taste of the action by joining in the barreASANA workout video and taking the online class.

Adrenaline Rush

A new urban assault course coming to London, Glasgow, Manchester & Bristol, Adrenaline Rush promises to deliver high voltage, non-stop, energy-packed obstacle races.

Brought to you by Inmotion Sport and Macmillan Cancer Support the events will see 25% of the entry fee go to Macmillan. Entry to Adrenaline Rush starts at just £35*and those who sign up can expect to have their strength, stamina and mental resolve pushed to the limit. With 5km or 10km courses available, and the option of entering a four-person team, there is something for every fitness level.

Each event will include:

  • mud pits and trenches
  • water pits and chutes
  • ramp walks and jumps
  • dodging flour and water bombs
  • plank walks and rope crawls
  • trapezes and bungees
  • an ice bucket challenge

Adrenaline Rush

Events will take place in easy, accessible and central locations, with the following four events currently scheduled from May – August this year:

  • London, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park – Saturday 30th May 2015
  • Glasgow, Pollok Park – Saturday 25th July 2015
  • Manchester, Heaton Park – Saturday 1st August 2015
  • Bristol, Ashton Court Estate – Saturday 15th August 2015

You can still book on to the London event right up until 29th May, so don’t miss out!

adidas Summer Series

The adidas Summer Series marks the latest chapter in the #workit campaign, encouraging women across London and the UK to try out fresh fitness moves and #workit with the city’s hottest bloggers.

adidas have teamed up with Em Sheldon, AJ Odudu and Cat Meffan to create tailored individual workouts that will help to achieve their fitness goals over a six week period. Workout moves will be revealed weekly on the adidas Women’s Facebook page allowing fans to join the bloggers on their fitness journeys.

The #workit Summer Series kicks off with Em Sheldon, creator of the Em Talks blog, and will focus on workout moves perfect for summer and preparing for the holiday season. TV presenter AJ Odudu will pick up the baton in late June, with a programme designed to boost your energy, before Imperfect Matter creator Cat Meffan shows you how to tone up in time for the Little Black Dress.

The Porridge Cafe

After a successful pop-up the Porridge Cafe is open again! Now at 16 Terminus Place, Victoria Station, the Porridge Cafe is back.


Serving gluten-free porridge oats with a special combination grain, as well as barley, quinoa and buckwheat hot lunches and salads, it’s the perfect combination of comfort and nutrition. Choose between raw cacoa, blueberry and almond on millet and buckwheat, or chia, cherry and pistachio on flax and rye from their new summer menu for your morning porridge fix and you’ll be guaranteed a healthy kick-start to the day.

I’m hoping to try this place out for breakfast one day soon!

Open Monday to Friday 7:30am to 5pm, and Saturdays 9am to 5pm (except Saturday 16th May)

#lunchboost with So Much More

Running next week, from the 18th to 22nd May, the #LunchBoost is a week of FREE 30-minute fitness classes, kicking off at 12.30pm every day for 5days. As if that wasn’t enough, you’ll also get some Somuchmore stash and a tee to workout in! Nutrii and Unoco will be refuelling your bodies after the work out with unsweetened protein yoghurt and raw coconut water, powering you up for the rest of the day.

Lunch Boost So Much More

      Thanks Beki 🙂 It’s great isn’t it… just I might need to ask for a transfer to the London office so I can be around for more of it haha! If we can arrange a day when we could both make porridge cafe that would be good!
