Have you ever wanted to make your own running tights? Or take better action shots? Well now you can with the Like the Wind Pop Up.
Like the Wind magazine is a print packed with stories about running, written by runners, and designed to inspire and motivate. The not-for-profit project was dreamed up by freestak, the social media and marketing agency for running and endurance sports brands. With a team made up of ultra-runners and general great-outdoors lovers, they are the perfect team to deliver the concept of “It’s not How to Run, it’s Why We Run” through the magazine’s contributors who offer their creativity and time for free.
3 issues in, Like the Wind magazine are celebrating running by holding a week of running events, including workshops, artwork, film nights, guided runs, seminars, films screeners and more.
The Pop Up, hosted in Shoreditch, London, is running all of next week, 27th October – 2nd November, and there a small number of tickets left for some of the events and workshops. Or, you could just pop down to the gallery and have a look around!
Check out the schedule here, where you can also book on to any of the sessions you might fancy.
If I could I’d have registered for all of these sessions, but unfortunately life gets in the way sometimes! I did, however, manage to nab one of the spots on the sewing workshop (as a secret dressmaking enthusiast!) and am massively looking forward to coming home with my very own handmade pair of gotham superhero running tights… watch this space!
